from Ireland...

Joe,

Twenty-four different species of cetacean have been recorded in Irish waters, ranging from the Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus) to the Harbour Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). Biospheric Engineering Ltd is an acoustic consultancy, based in the west of Ireland, specialising in underwater noise. As a result of the range of species, we are required to have highly sensitive hydrophones for a very wide range of frequencies.

Our new C54XRS has provided us with a versatile tool, having a wide frequency range with excellent sensitivity. The hydrophone is also very easy to deploy and retrieve and has very low power consumption, all important characteristics when using hydrophones for extended periods.

I have used the hydrophone recently to record both Fin and Humpback whales and the performance is equally good when recording dolphin whistles.

Congratulations on producing a great product, backed up with excellent technical support from yourself and Michele in Europe.
